The Wedding Capsule

The wedding capsule presents the couple with a unique way to preserve and revisit their wedding day.

A wedding time capsule is a special collection of keepsakes from your wedding day, sealed away to be opened on a future anniversary. It might include love letters or vows, a bottle of wine, your invitation, photographs, or other meaningful mementos.

Here is a sample of a WEDDING CAPSULE Ceremony:

Officiant: “Today, _____ and _____ have made promises meant to carry them far beyond this ceremony. Before we continue, they would like to preserve a small piece of this day—something they can return to after their first year of marriage and remember where this journey began.

To do that, they have created a Wedding Time Capsule.

Inside this box, they will place letters they have written to one another, a bottle of wine, and a few special keepsakes from today—reminders of this celebration, the people who shared it with them, and the hopes they carry into their marriage.

_____ and _____, I invite you now to place these keepsakes inside.

(Couple places the items into the box.)

As you close this box, you are preserving more than keepsakes. You are capturing a moment in your story—who you are today, the love you share, and the future you are imagining together.

(Couple closes and locks/seals the box.)

On your first anniversary, open this box together. Pour the wine, read your letters, and remember this day—not only how it looked, but how it felt.
