Making it Legal in Ontario

It starts with hiring a qualified wedding Officiant to conduct your ceremony!

There are only three groups of people who can legally solemnize a wedding ceremony in Ontario:

  1. Religious Officials;

  2. Ontario Municipal Clerks Designates; and

  3. Judges/Justice of the Peace.

Ontario maintains an electronic list of registered religious marriage Officiants authorized to perform marriages in the province. I am a metaphysical minister and for legal confirmation, you can find my name listed there under the town of Waterford!
